Veteran Events

Community Events for Veterans & Families

At The Bridge Foundation, we believe in the healing power of connection. That’s why we host meaningful events throughout the year designed to ease burdens, create joy, and build lasting bonds among Veterans, their families, and the wider community. From holiday celebrations and family outings to resource-driven gatherings, each event is rooted in our mission to honor service, foster resilience, and ensure that no Veteran walks their journey alone.

These events are not only opportunities to come together but also spaces where practical needs can be met — whether through meals, care packages, or access to resources. At the same time, they serve as powerful reminders to Veterans and their families that they are supported, valued, and remembered throughout every season of the year.

Eligibility Guidelines

To ensure our events serve Veterans and families most in need, we ask participants to meet the following basic guidelines:

  • Who Can Participate:
    • U.S. Veterans of any branch of service (active duty, retired, or honorably discharged).
    • Immediate family members of Veterans, including spouses, partners, and children.
    • In some cases, Gold Star families may also be eligible for participation.
  • Proof of Eligibility:
To verify service, we ask that Veterans provide one form of documentation, such as:
    • DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty)
    • VA Identification Card
    • Military ID (for active duty)
    • Veteran designation on a state driver’s license or ID card
  • Registration Process:
    • Families may be asked to register in advance to help us plan appropriately.
    • Some events may have limited capacity; registration is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • For family-inclusive events, we encourage Veterans to bring their children and loved ones to share in the experience.

Why Guidelines Matter

By establishing clear eligibility, we ensure that our events directly serve the Veteran community while also maintaining fairness and transparency. These guidelines help us direct our resources where they are needed most and allow sponsors to know their contributions are making a genuine impact.

How You Can Help

The success of these gatherings depends on the generosity of our supporters. Each event is made possible by donors and sponsors who believe in honoring Veterans and strengthening families. Sponsorships cover essentials such as food, venue costs, care packages, and resource materials, while donations allow us to expand our reach and bring comfort to even more families throughout the year.

When you sponsor an event, you aren’t just funding a gathering — you’re creating memories, meeting real needs, and building a community of care that lasts long after the event ends. Together, we can ease burdens, foster resilience, and ensure that every Veteran and family feels the gratitude and support they deserve.

Sponsor an event. Change a life. Honor a legacy.
